State Siting Board Issues Final Agenda for Wednesday, January 17, 2018 Meeting

 

ALBANY — The New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment (Siting
Board) will meet on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 beginning at 10:30 a.m.  Members of the Siting Board will meet in the Public Service Commission’s Board Room, 19th floor, 3 Empire State Plaza, Albany, New York.  The meeting will be video-conferenced between the Public Service Commission’s Board Room in Albany and the Public Service Commission’s Board Room located at 90 Church Street,4th floor, New York City.  In addition, the meeting will be webcast live on the Internet.  Please note, the meeting may continue on January 19, 2018.
 
The Agenda for the January 17, 2018 meeting includes the following item:
 
Case 14-F-0490       Application of Cassadaga Wind LLC for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need Pursuant to Article 10 to Construct a Wind Energy Project, dated May 27, 2016.
 
The Siting Board will consider whether to grant Cassadaga Wind LLC (Cassadaga) authority to build and operate a 126 MW wind farm project in the Chautauqua County.  The project is proposed to be located in the Towns of Charlotte, Cherry Creek, Arkwright, and Stockton in Chautauqua County, and would interconnect to the state’s electrical grid along the Dunkirk-Moon transmission line.  The project before the Siting Board includes up to 48 wind turbines, associated collection lines (below grade and overhead), access roads, meteorological towers, operation and maintenance building, collection and point of interconnect substations, and related facilities.
Instructions to Attend Meeting in Person
 
All members of the public are invited to attend in person.  Individuals in Albany wishing to attend the
meeting may do so in the Board Room on the 19th floor of the Public Service Commission’s offices at
Three Empire State Plaza, Albany.  Individuals in New York City wishing to attend the meeting may
do so in the Board Room on the 4th floor of the Public Service Commission’s offices at 90 Church
Street, New York City.  Pursuant to procedures established by the building management, anyone
planning to attend in the New York City Board Room must notify Mr. Jan Goorsky at 212-417-2378,
48 hours in advance of the meeting, and must be prepared to show valid photo identification upon
arrival at 90 Church Street.

The Internet webcast can be viewed by accessing http://www.dps.ny.gov/Webcasts.html.  If you
experience problems viewing the live webcast, you may view it at a later time by accessing an
archived copy of the webcast.  Archives are available on the Department of Public Service’s Web site
within two business days after the meeting.
