LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (March 22, 2018) --- Fifteen of the 19 remaining 1980 USA Hockey Team players will be back in Lake Placid, N.Y., Sunday through Wednesday, March 25-28, to participate in the fourth annual Miracle on Ice Fantasy Camp. Sixty-five “campers,” 45 of whom are returning from last year’s camp, will be treated to lodging at the High Peaks Resort, tournament games, a bobsled ride, home and away replica 1980 USA Hockey game jerseys, a highlight video and “inside” stories from each of the 1980 USA Hockey players as they remember their Olympic experiences 38 years ago.

WHAT: 4^th Annual Miracle on Ice Fantasy Camp. An opportunity for 65 hockey enthusiasts (known as “Campers”) to participate in a four-day long camp in which they participate in games and other activities alongside 15 members of the famed gold medal winning 1980 USA Hockey Team.

WHO: 65 “campers” from throughout the country, as well as 1980 USA Hockey gold medalists to include Neal Broten, Dave Christian, Mike Eruzione, John Harrington, Steve Janaszak, Mark Johnson, Rob McClanahan, Ken Morrow, Mark Pavlich, Mike Ramsey, Buzz Schneider, Dave Silk, Eric Strobel and Mark Wells. Ralf Cox will also participate in the camp. Cox was the team’s final player cut before the Olympic tournament

WHERE: The Lake Placid Olympic Center. This is where during the 1980 Olympic Winter Games, the U.S. hockey team stunned the world, beating the favored former Soviet Union 4-3, in the game forever remembered worldwide as the “Miracle on Ice.” The team would eventually capture the Olympic tournament’s gold medal after topping Finland, just two days later, 4-2.
