Why Not Ski and Ride On Wednesdays at Belleayre, Gore & Whiteface

Don’t Miss out on the Great Start to the Skiing & Riding Season

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- It’s been a banner start to the winter season at Belleayre Mountain, Highmount; Gore Mountain, North Creek; and Whiteface Mountain, Wilmington. There’s no better time than now to discover what’s new at each of the three ski resorts and if you’re looking for a deal on lift tickets, don’t miss out on the Why Not Wednesdays. Simply present any unopened Dasani or Coca-Cola product to the mountain’s ticket window each Wednesday, excluding holidays, and receive a discounted one-day lift ticket.

The early season skiing and snowboarding season has never been off to a better start at Belleayre Mountain, which has 24 of its 50 trails open. Through Friday, Dec. 21, the resort is helping to stock the shelves to some of the region’s local food pantries in the towns of Shandaken and Middletown.  When guests make a charitable donation, of one or more non-perishable food item, they automatically enter into a weekly drawing for the chance to win great prizes to include lift tickets, lessons, Marketplace specials and equipment tuning.

Gore Mountain’s food drive continues through this Friday, Dec. 14. Skiers and riders can save $10 off the price of a daily lift ticket when they donate one or more non-perishable food item. Twenty-five trails are open now and snowmaking is underway on the Rumor, Lies, Cloud, Lower Sleighride, Pot Luck and Showcase trails and at the Ski Bowl too.

Meanwhile, Whiteface Mountain has received more than four feet of snow so far and snowmaking continued overnight on nine more trails. Five lifts are taking skiers and riders to 47 open trails.  Guests can also look forward to the opening of the Bear Trail before the end of the week.
