ADVISORY: FARM LABORERS WAGE HEARING

What: Hearing on the overtime work threshold for farm laborers in New York State

About the Hearings

On Monday, February 24, 2020, New York State Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon announced that she will convene a wage board to hold public hearings to hear testimony to consider the existing overtime work threshold for farm laborers and the extent to which the overtime work threshold may be lowered in New York State. 

This hearing is the first of five that have been scheduled throughout the State.  Testimony will be heard from farm laborers, agricultural employers, academic experts, and elected officials, among others. All attendees are encouraged to preregister. Speakers will be scheduled on a first come first served basis. Individuals can register at:

If an individual cannot attend this or any of the wage board hearings they can submit testimony to wagebaord@labor.ny.gov.
