STATE TO ANNOUNCE MAJOR LAND DEAL FOR THE ADIRONDACKS

DEC Commissioner Seggos to Finalize Agreement with Formal Map Signing Ceremonial Event

On Monday, May 22, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner Basil Seggos will be joined by agency staff, state partners, state, and local elected officials and environmental partners to announce a major, more than a century in the making, Adirondack land agreement for New York State. 

  • Photo opportunity: Following the announcement there will be a photo op. Commissioner Seggos will sign official maps to seal the land agreement in formal signing ceremony.

Who: Remarks will be given by  

  • DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos
  • State and Local Elected Officials, including Senator Betty Little, Assemblyman Daniel Stec, and Assemblyman Marc Butler
  • Eric Kulleseid, Senior Vice President, Open Space Institute
