Indian Ladder Trail to Open Once Trail Project Work is Complete

New York State Parks will begin work on a trail project along the Indian Ladder Trail next week to remove any loose rock and debris from slopes along the half mile trail.

State Parks crews will remove any loose surface material that may present a rockfall hazard. Crews consist of experienced rope handlers and scalers, who are suspended along the slope edge to chip away loose rocks and debris.

Depending on weather, this process and subsequent clean-up is expected to take approximately 4-6 weeks.

The Indian Ladder trail will reopen once work is complete.
