MTA Statement on E-Hail On-Demand Pilot Program

Media reports this morning indicating that the MTA has decided to end our E-Hail on-demand pilot program are absolutely incorrect.  The pilot program is currently scheduled to run through the end of April and no decisions have yet been made about its future.  In fact the option to continue, and even expand it, are on the table.  The program has been very popular and we are committed to providing our customers with the best level of service possible.  In particular, statements from senior MTA officials were misrepresented to indicate that the program was shutting down when, in fact, that is simply not true and no decisions have been made.

- MTA Chief External Affairs Officer Max Young
