Media Advisory: 20th Annual New York State Cyber Security Conference Kicks Off

The New York State’s 20th Annual Cyber Security Conference is scheduled to kick off at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY, on June 7 and June 8, 2017. The two-day conference brings together more than 1,200 attendees from across government, private industry and academia to raise awareness of cyber security issues to help ensure New York remains a leader in cyber security.

The conference will begin on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at 9:00 am with a welcome address offered by Robert Samson, New York State Chief Information Officer, followed by a keynote address by Reg Harnish, Chief Executive Officer of GreyCastle Security. An awards ceremony will be held at 11:50 am to announce the winners of the New York State Cyber Security Champion Awards, which will be awarded to those who have made a significant contribution to the state through continued commitment to support and enhance cyber security activities.

In addition to these key events, the conference also features more than 50 breakout sessions covering topics ranging from risk management, mobile security, the threat landscape, the human element, incident response and more.
