Who: State Parks Commissioner Pro Tempore Randy Simons, Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Amanda Lefton, State Senator Michele Hinchey, Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger, park facility partners, and more.
 

What: The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation kicks-off construction for major improvements to Sojourner Truth State Park, including a public swimming beach, bathhouse pavilion, expanded hiking trails, public restrooms and other visitor amenities.

Where: Sojourner Truth State Park, 100 Sojourner Truth Way, Kingson, NY 12401. Parking is available in the main lot, and the event will take place just up the hill. Adequate footwear for stone terrain is recommended.
