PUBLIC SCHEDULE: MTA Officials to Provide Update on Overnight Closure of Subway System

 

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will hold a number of events detailing the agency’s unprecedented 24/7 cleaning operation and new MTA Essential Plan Night Service during the first overnight subway closure in history, which begins Wednesday, May 6 at 1 a.m. Following a news conference, MTA leaders will be moving throughout the night across the system to assess operations.

11:05 p.m. MTA Officials Provide Update on Overnight Closure

  • Q46 departing Kew Gardens ef station via Union turnpike. Note: Q46 route overnight frequency has been enhanced from 60 minutes between buses to 25 minutes.
 
5:00 a.m. Station Reopening B-Roll & Media Opportunity
  • As of 5 a.m. the system will reopen. Media with NYPD press credentials will be permitted access to stations during and following the reopening to capture still photos and video.
