Insulation & Asbestos Workers Recruit Apprentices |

Buffalo, NY (September 21, 2016) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers, Local Union #4, will conduct a recruitment from September 20, 2016 through May 16, 2017 for two insulation and asbestos worker apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Please note that the two openings listed for apprentices represent the total number for two recruitment regions: the Finger Lakes and Western regions. Applications can be obtained at Local Union #4, 2484 Seneca Street, Buffalo, NY, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
