Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Recruit Apprentices |

Whitney Point, NY (November 29, 2021) - The Joint Apprenticeship Committee for the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers (IUBAC), Local Union #3, will conduct a recruitment from January 3, 2022 through January 2, 2023 for 15 Bricklayer, Mason, and Plasterer apprentices; one Cement Mason apprentice; and one Tile Setter apprentice, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Applications can be obtained at the IUBAC Local Union #3 Training Center, 4 Railroad Street, Whitney Point, NY from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., every Monday, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Completed applications must be returned to the JAC for the IUBAC, Local Union #3 Training Center, 4 Railroad Street, Whitney Point no later than January 2, 2023. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
