Insulation and Asbestos Workers Recruit Apprentices |

Rochester, NY (November 27, 2013) – The Heat and Frost Insulators & Allied Workers Local Union #26 will conduct a recruitment from December 5, 2013 through November 6, 2014 for five insulation and asbestos worker apprentices, State Labor Commissioner Peter M. Rivera announced today. Applications may be obtained at Local Union #26, 4348 Culver Road, Suite 3, Rochester, NY from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Applicants must apply in person: no applications are to leave the premises. The Committee requires that applicants:
For further information, applicants should contact their nearest New York State Department of Labor office or Local Union #26 at (585) 323-1620. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities. |
