“We are shocked and saddened to learn of our colleague Hector Figueroa’s passing. Hector served on the NYS Complete Count Commission and was – as always – a pleasure to work with.

“Hector was the voice of the voiceless, bringing forceful moral clarity and authority to making sure every community was represented in the upcoming census.

“When you were on Hector’s side, you knew you were on the right side. 

“We will all miss Hector’s unyielding spirit and passion for his fellow New Yorker. On behalf of the entire Complete Count Commission, we offer our condolences to Hector’s wife Deidre and his children Eric and Elena.”
