ADVISORY: MTA Metro-North Railroad to Open Maybrook Trailway in Brewster, N.Y.

Railroad Built 23-Mile Active Recreation Trailway Alongside Unused Railroad Line in Putnam and Dutchess Counties

 

Today at 2 p.m., Catherine Rinaldi, President of MTA Metro-North Railroad, will be joined by state and local officials to open the Maybrook Trailway, a 23-mile segment of the Empire State Trail, an active recreation trailway that spans 750 miles from Battery Park in Manhattan to Canada and from Albany to Buffalo. The Maybrook Trailway was built by Metro-North Railroad alongside an unused rail line.
