Due to a maintenance issue on a bridge operated by the New York State Thruway Authority, service on MTA Metro-North Railroad's Port Jervis line is suspended north and west of Suffern through Friday, August 6. This means there will be no service to the following West of Hudson stations:
- Port Jervis
- Otisville
- Middletown - Town of Walkill
- Campbell Hall
- Salisbury Mills - Cornwall
- Harriman
- Tuxedo
- Sloatsburg
The Thruway Authority advised Metro-North late Thursday evening that, out of an abundance of caution, the railroad should not operate trains on tracks that run below the Arden Valley Road Bridge near Harriman until repairs can be made.
Service alternatives for riders who normally use the Port Jervis Line:
- Travel to Suffern or Ramsey Route 17 (where there is ample parking) for NJT service to Hoboken
- Hudson Line service from Beacon via the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge or from Tarrytown or Irvington via the Mario Cuomo Bridge. PORT JERVIS LINE TICKETS WILL BE HONORED ON THE HUDSON LINE.
- Regularly scheduled Pascack Valley Line service
Metro-North is working to establish alternative bus service to serve customers during the weekend and will issue updates when available.
For further updates, customers should check the MYmta app or call 511.
