LIRR Opening New Ellison Ave. Bridge in Westbury TODAY

Ribbon-Cutting at 3 PM with Railroad President & Local Elected Officials

MTA Long Island Rail Road President Patrick A. Nowakowski, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, State Senator Jack M. Martins (R,I,C - Mineola), State Assemblyman Michael Montesano (R, I, C – Glen Head), County Legislator Laura Schaefer (R-Westbury) and Village of Westbury Mayor Peter I. Cavallaro will cut the ribbon opening the new $17.5.million Ellison Ave. Bridge to vehicular and pedestrian traffic at 3 p.m. Friday, April 15 at Ellison Ave. and Broadmoor Lane on the south side of the railroad right-of-way. New bridge, which spans the LIRR’s Main Line between Carle Place and Westbury stations was a design-build project completed in one year and financed by MTA Capital Program.
