Advisory: State Labor Department Announces Public Hearings on Employee Scheduling |

The New York State Department of Labor hereby gives notice that it will hold public hearings to receive testimony about employer scheduling practices including "just-in-time," "call-in" or "on-call" scheduling. The hearings will be held at the following locations and times: Date: Tuesday, October 3, 2017 Date: Wednesday, October 11, 2017 Date: Tuesday, October 17, 2017 The hearings will be presided over by State Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon. Please note the revised dates due to scheduling conflicts. In addition, the scope of these hearings will be focused on scheduling practices for workers subject to the Minimum Wage Order for Miscellaneous Industries and Occupations. Other industries will be evaluated after this review. If you plan to attend a hearing, please preregister. Priority in seating and speaking will be given to those who preregister. Seating and speaking order for those who have not preregistered will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis and as determined by event staff. Oral presentations may be strictly limited to 3 minutes each. You may register:
