U.S. Olympic Aerials Team Trains in Lake Placid ahead of Olympic Games

(January 26, 2018) – Before the six-member U.S. Olympic Freestyle Aerials Ski Team competes in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, the squad will make a stop in Lake Placid, N.Y. to participate in a pre-Olympic training camp.

Earlier today, the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) confirmed the three women and three men team that includes Ashley Caldwell (Ashburn, Va.), Madison Olsen (Park City, Utah), Kiley McKinnon (Madison, Conn.), Jon Lillis (Rochester, N.Y.), Mac Bohonnon (Madison, Wisc.) and Eric Loughran (Pelham, N.H.). These athletes are scheduled to train at the Olympic Jumping Complex, ahead of their Feb. 15-18 Olympic competition.

WHO: Six-member U.S. Olympic aerials team featuring reigning world champions Ashley Caldwell and Jon Lillis. The team also features Madison Olsen, Kiley McKinnon, Mac Bohonnon and Eric Loughran.

WHAT: Olympic team training camp that will help the group prepare for its Olympic competition in PyeongChang, South Korea.

WHERE: Olympic Jumping Complex, 5486 Cascade Rd., Lake Placid, N.Y., 12946.

WHEN: Media will be allowed to attend training sessions to gather b-roll and photography on the following days:

Thursday, Feb. 1; 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 2; 10 a.m. – 1p.m.

Additionally, athletes and coaches will be available for interviews Friday, Feb. 2 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
