Tree Planting Is Part of New York State’s Weeklong Celebration of Earth Day Who: New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and the Planting Fields Foundation What: Arbor Day Tree Planting When: 10 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 Where: Hay Barn/Visitor’s Center, Planting Fields Arboretum State Park, 1395 Planting Fields Road Oyster Bay, NY 11771 To celebrate Arbor Day and commemorate the completion of an extensive project to replant trees in Long Island State Parks following Superstorm Sandy, a ceremonial tree planting will take place during the 29th Annual Arbor Day Family Festival at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park. Members of the media are invited to attend the ceremony at 10 a.m., Friday, April 24 at the Hay Barn/Visitor’s Center. |
