Customers may visit our website at www.mta.info and check out “The Weekender,” accessible by clicking “The Weekender” tab located within the Service Status Menu. The Weekender makes it easy for subway riders to visualize exactly how weekend work will affect subway service.

The updated “Weekender for Mobile App,” which now includes MTA Subway Time data, is available for iPhone in the Apple app store, and in the Google Play store for Android devices.  This free-to-download app shares the same features as the desktop version, including a subway diagram that displays the service to be provided each weekend, and all service changes.  Users can pinch or expand the map to multiple zoom levels, and tap to choose one of three ways to view service diversions: Service by Line, Service by Borough and Service by Station. 

Customers can also download the apps at http://web.mta.info/apps/weekenderApp.html

TripPlanner+ provides travel information that takes weekend service diversions into account.  In addition, customers can receive customized subway diversion e-mails delivered to their inbox by signing up for the E-mail Subscription Program.  Just log on to the NYC Transit homepage at http://www.mta.info/nyct.

These weekend changes are necessary because of capital construction work on the MTA New York City Transit subway system.  This work is part of NYC Transit’s ongoing Capital Rebuilding Program aimed at upgrading and maintaining our tracks, stations and signal systems in order to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable service.  For more information on the 2015-2019 Capital Program log on to www.mta.info/capital.  Customers who rely on these lines should allow for additional travel time.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 13,  trains are suspended in both directions between Wakefield-241 St and E 180 St.  Free shuttle buses operate between E 180 St and Wakefield-241 St, stopping at Bronx Park East, Pelham Pkwy, Allerton Av, Burke Av, Gun Hill Rd, 219 St, 225 St, 233 St, Nereid Av, and Wakefield-241 St.  Transfer between free shuttle buses and  trains at E 180 St.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 10 to 6:30 a.m. Sunday, March 12, and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday, March 12 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College bound  trains run express from 72 St to Chambers St.

From 4:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Sunday, March 12, Flatbush Av-Brooklyn College bound  trains skip Jackson Av. 

At all times until further notice,  trains skip Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St in both directions.  Use free shuttle buses instead.

• For Service to/from Sutter Av-Rutland Rd, free shuttle buses operate between the Sutter Av-Rutland Rd station and the Crown Hts-Utica Av station at all times.
• For Service to/from Junius St, free shuttle buses operate between the Junius St station and the Rockaway Av station at all times.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 13,  service operates to/from New Lots Av all weekend, replacing the  in Brooklyn.

At all times until Spring 2017,  trains skip Sutter Av-Rutland Rd and Junius St in both directions.  Use free shuttle buses instead.

• For Service to/from Sutter Av-Rutland Rd, free shuttle buses operate between the Sutter Av-Rutland Rd station and the Crown Hts-Utica Av station at all times.
• For Service to/from Junius St, free shuttle buses operate between the Junius St station and the Rockaway Av station at all times.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 13,  trains are suspended in both directions between New Lots Av/Crown Hts-Utica Av and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.  Take the or  instead.  For service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, take the or .  For service to/from Wall St and Bowling Green, use the  ( overnight) at the nearby Rector St or Whitehall St stations.  For service to/from Fulton St, and between Borough Hall and Franklin Av, take the  or  instead.  For service between Franklin Av and Crown Hts-Utica Av, take the  instead, running all weekend.

From 3:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday March 11, Woodlawn-bound trains run express from 149 St-Grand Concourse to Burnside Av. 

From 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11,  trains run every 16 minutes between Woodlawn and 125 St.  The last stop for some  trains headed toward Woodlawn is 125 St.     

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 13,  trains run local between 125 St and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall.

From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, and from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12,  trains are suspended in both directions between Bowling Green and Grand Central-42 St.  Take  or  trains instead.  For stations between Grand Central-42 St and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall take the  or .  For Fulton St, Wall St, and Bowling Green, use nearby  stations at Cortlandt St, Rector St, or Whitehall St.  Transfer between  and  trains at Canal St.

From 7:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Sunday, March 12,  trains are suspended in both directions between E 180 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse.  Take the 2 instead. 

From 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 11, to 4:30 a.m. Monday, March 13,  trains are suspended in both directions between 34 St-Hudson Yards and Queensboro Plaza.  and free shuttle buses provide alternate service.   service will run between Flushing-Main St and Queensboro Plaza. 

• Use  and  trains for service between Manhattan and Queens. Transfer between  and  trains at Queensboro Plaza.  Transfer between  and shuttle buses at Times Sq, and between  and  trains at 74 St-Roosevelt Av. 
• Free shuttle buses run in two segments: between 34 St-Hudson Yards and Times Sq-42 St, and between Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av and Queensboro Plaza. 
• The 42 Street  shuttle operates overnight.
•  service operates between Whitehall St and Ditmars Blvd from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 and from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12.

From 12:15 a.m. Saturday, March 11, to 4:30 a.m. Monday, March 13, Queensboro Plaza-bound  trains run express from 74 St-Broadway to Queensboro Plaza. 

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 11, to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 13,  trains will stop at 155 St and 163 St in both directions.

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 13,  trains are rerouted via the  line in both directions between W 4 St-Wash Sq and Jay St-MetroTech. 

From 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12,  trains are rerouted via the  line in both directions between W 4 St-Wash Sq and Jay St-MetroTech. 

From 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12,  trains are suspended in both directions between 145 St and 168 St.  Take the  instead. 

At all times until early 2017 Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound F trains skip Avenue I, Bay Pkwy, Avenue N, Avenue P, Avenue U, and Avenue X.  To these stations, take the Coney Island-bound  to Kings Hwy or Neptune Av and transfer to a Jamaica-bound .  From these stations, take a Jamaica-bound  to Kings Hwy or 18 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, Monday, March 13, Jamaica-179 St bound  trains skip 14 St and 23 St.

At all times until Summer 2017, Manhattan-bound  trains skip 121 St. 

• For service to this station, use the nearby 111 St station instead. Or, take the Manhattan-bound  to 111 St and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound .
• For service from this station, use the nearby 111 St station instead. Or, take the Q56 bus and transfer to/from  service at nearby 111 St.
• Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer bound  trains skip 121 St between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on weekdays. Take a Q56 bus or the  train instead. 

From 11:45 p.m. Friday, March 10 to 5:00 a.m. Monday, March 13,  trains are suspended in both directions between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av.   service operates between Essex St and Myrtle Av, and is rerouted via the  to/from Broadway Junction, days/evenings only.  Free shuttle buses make all  stops between Metropolitan Av and Myrtle Av.  Transfer between buses and  trains at Myrtle Av.  For direct service to/from Manhattan, use the  via transfer at Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs.

At all times until Spring 2017, Astoria-Ditmars Blvd bound  trains skip 86 St, Avenue U, Kings Hwy, 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy.   trains will stop at Bay Pkwy and 8 Av.

• To 86 St, Avenue U, and Kings Hwy, take the Astoria-bound  to Bay Pkwy and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .
• To 20 Av, 18 Av, New Utrecht Av, and Fort Hamilton Pkwy, take the Astoria-bound  to 8 Av and transfer to a Coney Island-bound .

• From these stations, take a Coney Island-bound  to Bay Pkwy or Stillwell Av and transfer to an Astoria-bound .
• For New Utrecht Av-62 St, take the  Transfer to an Astoria-bound  train at 36 St.

From 7:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12, Manhattan-bound  trains run express from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park.  

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 11, to 6:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, the 42 St Shuttle will operate overnight.

From 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, and from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12,  service operates between Whitehall St and Ditmars Blvd.
