Collegiate Men’s Championship Hockey Returns to Lake Placid… Credential Applications now being Accepted

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (February 15, 2018) --- Men’s collegiate championship hockey returns to Lake Placid’s Olympic Center in March 2018. The ECAC Men’s Ice Hockey Championship returns to the famed Herb Brooks Arena, from March 16-17, followed by the NCAA Div. III Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship, March 23-24. This marks the fifth straight year that the ECAC Men’s Ice Hockey Championship has called Lake Placid, N.Y. home. Furthermore, the nation’s top Div. III men’s ice hockey champion will be crowned in Lake Placid for a record seventh time. Credential requests are now being accepted for both hockey tournaments.

WHAT: Men’s championship ice hockey tournaments, ECAC Men’s Ice Hockey Championship

and the NCAA Div. III Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship.

WHERE: Lake Placid Olympic Center’s Herb Brooks Arena, 2634 Main St., Lake Placid, NY 12946.

WHO: The ECAC Men’s Ice Hockey Championship features the conference’s four remaining post-season teams. The winner of this tournament receives an automatic bid to play in the NCAA Championship Tournament.  The NCAA Div. III Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship features the nation’s four remaining squads, each vying for the prestigious Div. III Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship crown.

WHEN: The ECAC Men’s Ice Hockey Championship is slated for March 16-17, while the NCAA Div. III Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship is scheduled for March 23-24.

All media interested in attending and covering the hockey tournaments are required to complete a media credential application. The ECAC Men’s Ice Hockey Championship’s media credential application is available HERE. The NCAA Div. III Men’s Ice Hockey National Championship’s credential application is available HERE. Completed applications are due no later than March 12, 2018.
