Metro-North Service Advisory: Minor Weekday Schedule Changes to Select Eastbound Pascack Valley and Port Jervis Line Trains Take Effect on Sunday, September 9

Schedule Change in Effect to Support Positive Train Control Installation

 

MTA Metro-North Railroad advises customers that beginning Sunday, September 9, there will be minor eastbound-only weekday schedule changes to connecting trains between Secaucus Junction and New York Penn Station for Pascack Valley and Port Jervis Line service.
 
Schedule changes are the result of temporary NJ Transit changes to off-peak Raritan-New York thru-trains in support of Positive Train Control installation work.  Frequent service between Secaucus Junction and New York Penn Station continues to be available on other NJT trains.
 
The new schedule will not affect service between Spring Valley and Secaucus Junction/ Hoboken or between Port Jervis and Secaucus Junction/ Hoboken.
 
Service details are below:
 
Pascack Valley Line, Weekdays only
  • The 8:50 a.m. train from Spring Valley to Hoboken will have a connecting train from Secaucus Junction to New York Penn Station that arrives at Penn Station four minutes later.
  • The 10:49 a.m. train from Spring Valley to Hoboken will have a connecting train from Secaucus Junction to New York Penn Station that arrives at Penn Station five minutes later.
  • There are no changes to the connecting schedules for westbound weekday trains from Hoboken to Spring Valley.
 There are no changes to weekend or holiday schedules on the Pascack Valley Line.

Port Jervis Line, Weekdays only
  • The 7:44 a.m. train from Port Jervis to Hoboken will have a connecting train from Secaucus Junction to New York Penn station that arrives at Penn Station four minutes later.
  • The 11:30 a.m. train from Port Jervis to Hoboken will have a connecting train from Secaucus Junction to New York Penn Station that arrives at Penn Station eleven minutes later.
There are no changes to the connecting schedules for westbound weekday trains from Hoboken to Port Jervis.
There are no changes to weekend or holiday schedules on the Port Jervis Line.
