ADVISORY: On Earth Day, Governor Hochul and MTA to Make Electric Bus Announcement

Governor Kathy Hochul and Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) leaders will join energy sector stakeholders and environmental advocates in celebration of Earth Day to make an announcement on the next step in the MTA’s commitment to a fully zero-emission bus fleet. 


WHEN:
 

TODAY – Friday, April 22 at 9:30 a.m. 

*Media must arrive by 9:00 to check in and be escorted to the event site 

*After event and Q&A – there will be a B-roll opportunity with media invited to ride an electric bus on a short ride from Quill Depot to a charging location along 12th Avenue. The ride will be open press. There will then be a demonstration at the charging location to show how a bus gets charged when not at a depot. Media may ride bus for short return trip to starting point at Michael J. Quill Depot.
