Groundbreaking of New 200,000-square-foot Warehouse in Green Island on Wednesday, October 9

WHAT: The New York State Office of General Services will host a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction by Luizzi Companies on a new 200,000-square-foot warehouse in Green Island, New York.

Once constructed, the new warehouse will consolidate four existing Capital Region warehouses OGS leases to store state-owned inventory into a single leased warehouse and distribution center. This new leased facility will increase the sustainability and efficiency of the state’s warehouse operations.

Since 2012, OGS has led New York State’s efforts to streamline and consolidate state agency warehouse and storage locations by creating a comprehensive inventory and reviewing and eliminating warehouse space as needed.
