The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will join City of Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan, City of Albany Department of General Services, Albany City Schools Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter and other State and community partners to plant trees in recognition of Arbor Day.

WHERE: Albany School of Humanities (ASH) 108 Whitehall Road, Albany NY 12209
*All planting will take place behind the school.  


WHEN: Press Event: 10:40 a.m., Friday, April 25
*Students will be on site for tree plantings before and after the formal press event.


VISUALS: More than 80 second-grade students from Albany School of Humanities will be on site with DEC Foresters, City of Albany Office of General Services, and forestry staff to plant trees. Ceremonial tree planting with State and local officials from DEC, City of Albany, City School District, and community partners following press conference.
