ADVISORY: Governor Hochul and MTA Leaders to Ride Inaugural Train to Grand Central Madison

Governor Kathy Hochul and leaders from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will ride the first passenger train into Grand Central Madison – the newly completed 714,000 square foot Long Island Rail Road terminal. Grand Central Madison is the first major railroad terminal to be built in the United States in 67 years, and the first expansion of the LIRR since Penn Station opened 112 years ago.

Media arrival time at 10:40 a.m.
Event begins at 11:15 a.m.

MANHATTAN

Press must arrive at the clock in Grand Central Terminal's main concourse by 10:40 a.m. to be escorted to Grand Central Madison's mezzanine level for the press event.

NOTE: Inaugural train departs from Jamaica to Grand Central Madison at 10:45 a.m., arriving at 11:07 a.m.
