Whiteface Begins Full Operations Wednesday

WILMINGTON, N.Y. --- Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y., will begin seven-day a week operations beginning Wednesday, Nov. 26, and continue through mid-April.

 

Over the past two weeks, the Olympic mountain has opened on weekends only and last weekend, skiers and riders enjoyed 12 open trails.  Check the resort’s Daily Anticipated Conditions Report for tail updated trail conditions and openings. Lift tickets prices through December 13, 2014 are $62 for adults, $52 for teens and seniors, $42 for juniors and just $40 for skiers and riders 70 and older. And as always, children six and under ski and ride for free.

 

While at Whiteface on Thursday, take in a traditional Thanksgiving buffet, served in the J. Lohr Vinyards & Wines Café & Wine Bar.  For just $12.95 per person, enjoy turkey, stuffing, potatoes, deserts and more.

 

For 24 consecutive years, readers of SKI Magazine have tabbed Whiteface Lake Placid number-one in the east for Off-Hill Activities. The magazine’s readers also named Whiteface their fourth favorite spot in the east for Après Ski and Nightlife.

 

The 2015 survey also tabbed Whiteface as the 10th top ski resort in the eastern United States. Whiteface also received kudos for Challenge (4), Scenery (No. 5), Character (No. 6), Dining (9) and Overall Value (No.10).

 

This spring, SnowEast Magazine readers chose Whiteface Lake Placid as their Overall Favorite Ski Resort in New York State and their Favorite Ski Destination.  Snoweast Magazine also voted Whiteface ninth in the east for Favorite Snowmaking.
