The LIRR has teamed up with 70 merchants so far -- including popular restaurants, hotels, fitness centers, along with visits to various sporting events, museums, shows and entertainment hot spots -- that are offering special discounts to LIRR customers who have a current monthly ticket.

 

"My philosophy is and has always centered around providing reliable train service, clean cars and stations, and outstanding customer service," LIRR President Phillip Eng said. "That goal now extends beyond riding our rails as we strive to show our customers how much we appreciate them. I'm excited that we're able to offer these programs designed with our customers in mind to give our monthly ticket holders extra perks to further enjoy Long Island and New York City."

LIRR monthly ticket holders can enjoy 'My LIRR Loyalty' year-round, in addition to 'Autumn Weekends,' which offers $1 fares for up to four people who are accompanied by LIRR monthly ticket holders on weekends until Sunday, November 11, 2018.

'Autumn Weekends' follows the successful 'Summer Saturdays' pilot, which ran on 13 weekends from June 2 to August 25, 2018. On these Saturdays, more than 62,000 Family Fare tickets were sold, a 50% increase in Family Fare ticket sales over the same Saturdays in 2017.
