Due to severe weather conditions in Western New York this past week, the public comment period for CWM’s application to construct and operate a new landfill at the company’s existing facility in the Towns of Porter and Lewiston, Niagara County, has been extended. DEC will now accept written comments that are received by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25^th. The previous deadline was November 21^st.

Comments may be submitted by mail to Chief Administrative Law Judge James T. McClymonds, NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, Office of Hearings and Mediation Services, 625 Broadway, 1^st Floor, Albany, New York 12233-5500.  Comments may also be submitted via email address to CWM.RWMUNIT2@dec.ny.gov.

In addition, the deadline for filing of petitions for party status has also been extended, Petitions must be received at the DEC’s Office of Hearings and Mediation Services no later than 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.
