Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Recruit Apprentices |

Long Island City, NY (September 11, 2019) – The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Bricklayers & Allied Craft Workers JAC Local Union #1, will conduct a recruitment from October 25, 2019 through September 25, 2020 (excluding July 2020 and August 2020) for 10 Bricklayer-Mason apprentices; five Stone Mason apprentices; 10 Pointer, Caulker, & Cleaner apprentices; and five Plasterer apprentices, the New York State Department of Labor announced today. Applications will be available at the International Masonry Institute, 12-07 44th Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on the following dates: 10/25/19, 11/22/19, 12/20/19, 1/31/20, 2/28/20, 3/27/20, 4/24/20, 5/29/20, 6/26/20 and 9/25/20. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. There will be no admittance after 8:30 a.m. An aptitude test will be conducted at the time of application. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner.
