WILMINGTON, N.Y. --- There’s still plenty of snow on the ground and more may be on the way this weekend so Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y., announces that it will remain open daily, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., through Sunday, April 15. That’s an extra seven days of carving turns on the Olympic Mountain. Spring skiing rates are available at the ticket window through the end of the season, but be sure to visit Whiteface.com to purchase tickets in advance and save up to 50% off the price of a lift ticket. While at Whiteface, put just 25-percent down on the purchase of your 2018-‘19 season pass. This new payment plan has no additional fees and just three easy payments. On Saturday, April 14, don your best costume, choose your skis or board wisely, and see just how far across the pond you can glide in Whiteface’s Annual Pond Skimming Contest. Register that morning, from 8 – 11 a.m., at guest services and be one of 100 skiers or snowboarders to participate. Prizes, including skis and a snowboard, from Maui North, Cunningham's, Viking Ski and Board and Maui North will be given for best costume, biggest splash, style points and farthest distance. Afterwards, soak up the sun on the Cloudspin deck with live music from Nina's Brew and drink and food specials. Photos from the 2017-’18 skiing and snowboarding season can be found HERE.
