Electricians Recruit Apprentices |

Harriman, NY (July 14, 2014) - The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Electricians Local Union #363 will conduct a recruitment from August 4, 2014 through May 8, 2015 for 15 electrician apprentices, State Labor Commissioner Peter M. Rivera announced today. Applications must be obtained and submitted in person at Local Union #363, 67 Commerce Drive South, Harriman, NY, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the first full business week of the following months: August 2014 (August 4 - August 8), November 2014 (November 3 - November 7), February 2015 (February 2 - February 6), and May 2015 (May 4 - May 8). The Committee requires that applicants:
*In Delaware County - The townships of Andes, Harpersfield, Kortright, Stamford, Bovina, Roxbury, and Middletown; also the portions of Colchester and Hancock townships south of the East Branch of the Delaware River. **In Greene County - That portion of the county which lies south of a line beginning at the Hudson River and following the south limits of the City of Catskill to Highway 23A, along 23A to Route 2 (the road following the Little West Kill), and continuing west along this road to Delaware County. For further information, applicants should contact their nearest New York State Department of Labor office or Local Union #363 at (845) 783-3500. Apprentice programs registered with the Department of Labor must meet standards established by the Commissioner. Under state law, sponsors of programs cannot discriminate against applicants because of race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or marital status. Women and minorities are encouraged to submit applications for apprenticeship programs. Sponsors of programs are required to adopt affirmative action plans for the recruitment of women and minorities.
