New York State Siting Board to MeetSiting Board to Consider Baron Wind’s Application to Build and Operate a 242 MW Wind Farm in the Towns of Cohocton, Dansville, Fremont and Wayland, Steuben County |

ALBANY — The New York State Board on Electric Generation Siting and the Environment (Siting Board) will meet on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. to consider Baron Winds LLC’s (Baron Winds) application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need to build and operate a proposed 242-megawatt (MW) wind facility in the Towns of Cohocton, Dansville, Fremont and Wayland (Steuben County).
The project is being developed by Baron Winds, a subsidiary of Innogy Renewables US LLC. Specifically, Baron Winds has applied to build and operate up to 68 wind turbines with associated electrical collection lines, access roads, meteorological towers, an operation and maintenance building, and a collection substation. The Project would interconnect to the state’s electrical grid along the New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG) 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission line in the Town of Cohocton.
Members of the Siting Board will meet in the Public Service Commission’s Board Room, 19th floor, 3 Empire State Plaza, Albany, New York, at 10:30 a.m., with video-conference connections to the Public Service Commission’s Board Room, 4th floor, 90 Church St., New York, New York.
The meeting will be webcast to the Department’s New York City offices. The webcasting will be for viewing and listening purposes only. In addition, the meeting will be webcast live on the Internet. The Internet webcast can be viewed by accessing http://www.dps.ny.gov/Webcasts.html.
An agenda will be issued prior to this meeting, which will contain additional instructions regarding viewing in the New York City office and the webcast.
Instructions to Attend Meeting in Person
All members of the public are invited to attend in person. Individuals wishing to attend the meeting in Albany, may do so in the Board Room on the 19th floor of the Public Service Commission’s offices at Three Empire State Plaza, Albany.
Individuals in New York City wishing to attend the meeting may do so in the Board Room on the 4th floor of the Public Service Commission’s offices at 90 Church Street, New York City.
Please be prepared to show identification to be admitted to the New York City or the Albany offices.

If you experience problems viewing the live webcast, you may view it at a later time by accessing an archived copy of the webcast. The application materials may be located under the tab “Filed Documents.” The application is also available for review at local public libraries in the project area and upon request to Baron Winds, LLC. |
