WILMINGTON, N.Y. --- Skiers and riders were in the holiday spirit at Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington, N.Y. On Sunday, Dec. 13, anyone who came to the Olympic mountain in a Santa suit skied or rode for free. If guests didn’t have a Santa costume hanging in the closet, they still saved 50% off a lift ticket by donating a gently worn coat or new or unwrapped toy. The Boy Scouts were on hand to collect the coats and toys and everything was donated to the Christmas Bureau in Plattsburgh. These items are distributed to families in need in Essex, Franklin and Clinton counties. Video of Santa Day at Whiteface Mountain, courtesy of ORDA/Whiteface Lake Placid, can be found HERE.
