WHAT: New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) Commissioner Basil Seggos and partners will announce the completion of significant enhancements at Chittning Pond to improve the state-owned dam and increase public access for fishing and other recreation. Chittning Pond provides anglers with bass fishing (bass season opened today, June 15, 2022) and abundant panfish opportunities.

WHERE: Chittning Pond Fishing Access Site, 8693 US-20, Waterville, NY 13480. It is on north side of State Route 20, roughly halfway between Bridgewater and Sangerfield.
