New York Lottery 50th Anniversary Sweepstakes: Turn Non-Winning Tickets into Cash PrizesEnter New York Lottery’s Players Club through December 2017 for chance at $50,000 |
|
For 50 years, the New York Lottery has awarded billions of dollars in prizes to those who have winning tickets. As part of a special sweepstakes commemorating the Lottery’s 50th anniversary, players with eligible draw game and non-winning scratch-off tickets get a free second chance at cash prizes or shopping points for the Players Club.
Between now and January 7, 2018, via the New York Lottery’s Players Club, 10 lucky New Yorkers will be selected to win $5,000 cash prizes in the 50th Anniversary Sweepstakes monthly drawings. In January 2018, a Players Club member will win the Grand Prize drawing for $50,000 in cash.
To enter the sweepstakes, players just need to register for the Players Club and enter eligible tickets (either draw games or instant games). They may sign up for free at NYLotteryPlayersClub.com or on the New York Lottery Players Club mobile app.
For each ticket entered into one of seven monthly drawings, players will receive a number of entries corresponding with the dollar value of the ticket entered. Each month, 10 $5,000 prizes will be awarded. All entries not selected as a monthly drawing winner will be entered into the $50,000 Grand Prize drawing to be held January 8, 2018. Additionally, each ticket entered into the 50th Anniversary Sweepstakes earns entries into the Players Club weekly drawings for cash or points, which can be redeemed for merchandise.

About the New York Lottery The New York Lottery continues to be North America’s largest and most profitable Lottery, contributing $3.27 billion in fiscal year 2016-2017 to help support education in New York State. The Lottery’s contribution represents approximately 14 percent of total state education aid to local school districts.
New York Lottery revenue is distributed to local school districts by the same statutory formula used to distribute the other state aid to education. It takes into account both a school district’s size and its income level; larger, lower-income school districts receive proportionately larger shares of Lottery school funding.
