MEDIA ADVISORY: OGS ANNOUNCES LIMITED ACCESS TO THE CAPITOL ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 9 UNTIL 2:45 PM |

After consulting with the New York State Police, the Office of General Services will be limiting access to the New York State Capitol on Tuesday, January 9. Regular access to the Capitol will resume at 2:45 p.m.
Capitol
Authorized staff, individuals with State-issued access cards, and credentialed guests will access the Capitol via all normal entrances, turnstiles, and portals.
Members of the LCA with State-issued access cards will access the Capitol via all normal entry points. All other members of the media with confirmed RSVPs to the 2024 State of the State Address should enter the Capitol building through the Washington Avenue or State Street entrances.
Legislative Office Building & Empire State Plaza Concourse
The Legislative Office Building and the Empire State Plaza concourse level will be open to the public as normal. To enter the Legislative Office Building, all visitors must enter through the State Street side of the Legislative Office Building.
