What: The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) will join local leaders, partners and representatives from the disability community to announce several DEC initiatives to promote recreational opportunities across New York State for people of all ages and abilities.

The event will highlight the completion of a new accessible trail at the Mount Loretto Unique Area and other DEC facilities across the state ahead of New York State’s Get Outdoors & Get Together Day.

This event is rain or shine. Alternate weather location will be the Mount Loretto Pavilion, located in the southwest corner of the property.

Photo Opportunity: Following the announcement and ribbon cutting, there will be a photo opportunity as attendees are invited to walk the 0.50 mile accessible trail (weather permitting).
