7/20 ADVISORY: NYS INSPECTOR GENERAL LANG TO HOST PANEL OF PROMINENT NEW YORK WOMEN LEADERS TO COMMEMORATE 174th ANNIVERSARY OF SENECA FALLS CONVENTION

SENECA FALLS, NY – In commemoration of the 174th anniversary of the Seneca Falls Convention, the United States' first women's rights convention and the birthplace of the American women's suffrage movement, New York State Inspector General Lang will convene a panel discussion with prominent New York women in leadership on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at 9:30am EDT.  The panel, to be held at the National Women's Hall of Fame, will explore what has been accomplished since the 1848 convention, recent setbacks in equity for women, New York State's role as a catalyst for women's rights then and now, as well as the outlook on the road ahead.
