About the Subminimum Wage Hearings

On Dec. 17, 2017, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo directed the Commissioner of Labor to hold public hearings to examine industries and evaluate the possibility of ending minimum wage tip credits in New York State.

This hearing is the third of seven that have been scheduled throughout the State.  Testimony will be heard from academic experts, workers, business owners and elected officials, among others. All attendees are required to preregister.

Currently, approximately 215 individuals have registered to speak at this hearing.
