New York State Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon today announced that the final Recruitment Day in her statewide tour will be held Friday, June 23rd at the BOEDC Office, located at 851 Grand Concourse in the Bronx. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with 17 businesses offering 437 job opportunities expected to attend.

“Recruitment events are always exciting for businesses and job seekers alike,” said Commissioner Reardon. “For businesses, these events offer a unique opportunity to survey local talent and for job seekers, they offer the face-to-face meeting that can make the difference in getting that new job they’re after. The Department of Labor is pleased to be able to facilitate these events and I look forward to a productive day in the Bronx!”

At Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s direction, Commissioner Reardon has been traveling throughout the state in order to facilitate Recruitment Day events to promote hiring local workers. She has also been meeting with union leadership to discuss regional issues.

Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally and bring several copies of their resumes.
