The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance said today it will extend its sales tax call center hours in order to help businesses and tax professionals meet the upcoming due date for quarterly sales tax returns.

The due date is Monday, December 21^st for the third quarter return covering the period of September 1 to November 30, 2015.

The call center hours are:

• Friday, December 18, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday, December 19, 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Monday, December 21, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
