The New York Racing Fan Advisory Council announced today it will host a fan forum at the Saratoga Race Course on Sunday, August 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Upper Carousel of the Saratoga Race Course. The event is free and open to the public.

The featured presenter at the Fan Forum will be retired NYRA track announcer Tom Durkin.  Durkin will talk about his passion for horse racing and answer questions from race fans.

“We are extremely pleased to have the legendary Tom Durkin share his career experiences with horse racing fans at our public Forum. As attendees will see, Tom is a gifted speaker with so many colorful stories. We encourage fans to attend and provide us with input and advice on the horse racing fan experience,” said Council Chairman Patrick Connors.

The New York Racing Fan Advisory Council is a group of dedicated volunteers who have a deep passion for the sport of horseracing. The Council was established to provide input and advice to the NYS Gaming Commission on the horse racing fan experience at New York race tracks.
