COMPLETION OF CRITICAL WASTEWATER INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT IN THE TOWN OF WESTPORT The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation will join the Town of Westport at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23 to announce completion of a critical wastewater infrastructure improvement project. The improvements not only protect public health and the environment but also help preserve Lake Champlain’s role as a vital driver of the local tourism economy. Officials will highlight how more than $3 million in grants and interest-free financing helped make the project affordable for local ratepayers. WHAT: Press conference to announce project completion, followed by a ribbon cutting. WHEN: Wednesday, July 23 at 10 a.m. WHERE: Westport Wastewater Treatment Plant, 18 Marks Road, Westport, NY 12293.
