Learn-to-Swim is a statewide program that will teach children across the state to swim for free this summer season. The program, for children age 5 years through 12 years, is made possible through a partnership between the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, the NYS Department of Health, the American Red Cross, National Swimming Pool Foundation and the Northeast Spa and Pool Association Foundation. The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation oversees more than 250 parks, historic sites, recreational trails, golf courses, boat launches and more, which are visited by 69 million people annually. For more information on any of these recreation areas, call 518-474-0456 or visit www.parks.ny.gov, connect with us on Facebook, or follow on Instagram and Twitter. |
