Second Traffic Mobility Review Board Meeting Scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 17

The Traffic Mobility Review Board (TMRB), the six-member panel that will issue a recommended tolling structure for Manhattan Central Business District Tolling to the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority (TBTA) Board, will hold its second meeting on Thursday, Aug. 17, at 3 p.m.

The TMRB was created in April 2019 by New York State Law that established the Central Business District Tolling Program. After developing recommendations as to the Central Business District toll structure, the TMRB will report its recommendations to the Board of the TBTA, which is coterminous with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Board, for consideration for proposed adoption.

In accordance with open meetings law, the meeting will be open to the public and the media and will be livestreamed by the MTA. The meeting of the Board members does not include a public comment period.

WHO: The board consists of the following six members:  

  • Carl Weisbrod, Chair of the TMRB and former Chair of the City Planning Commission and Director of the New York City Department of City Planning
  • John Banks, President Emeritus of the Real Estate Board of New York
  • John Durso, President of the Long Island Federation of Labor
  • John Samuelsen, International President of the Transport Workers Union
  • Elizabeth Velez, President and Principal of the Velez Organization
  • Kathryn Wylde, President and CEO of the Partnership for New York City
