Five public hearings have been held to hear testimony to consider the existing overtime work threshold for farm laborers and the extent to which the overtime work threshold may be lowered in New York State. The Department of Labor has announced three additional meetings of the Board to hear presentations from the Department of Labor, to discuss the written submissions and testimony received at previous hearings, and to make recommendations on the overtime work threshold for farm laborers and the extent to which the threshold may be lowered. The meeting is open to members of the public and will be conducted via video conference, however, no public testimony will be taken at this meeting. Public testimony was previously taken at five public hearings throughout the year and via written submission.
