LIRR and East Hampton Welcome Opening of East Hampton Bridges

North Main Street and Accabonac Road New Overpass Height Improves Safety for Passing Vehicles

MTA Long Island Rail Road and the Village of East Hampton mark the completion of the installation of the North Main St. and Accabonac Rd. bridges along the LIRR’s Montauk branch. The two bridges were replaced to improve safety and reduce the possibility of bridge strikes with oversized vehicles improperly crossing these roadways.
