NYC Transit Interim President Sarah Feinberg Discusses Resumption of 2 Train Service in the Bronx on 1010 WINS

NYC Transit Interim President Sarah Feinberg discussed the resumption of 2 train service in the Bronx on 1010 WINS with Lori Madden.

A transcript appears below.

Lori Madden: With us live now on 1010 WINS is Sarah Feinberg, Interim President of New York City Transit. Because of the toll that the virus has taken on your workforce, how is this affecting the schedule now? Or let me rephrase that, will it further affect the schedule going forward in New York City Transit?

Sarah Feinberg: We don't have any plans to reduce service at this time. Nothing is imminent, and amazingly and it's a huge testament to our workers, we actually added some service today to the 2 line. We had really been struggling over the last week to provide good service on the 2 line because so many 2 line crews have been quarantined, but the workforce just absolutely scraped and worked at it over the last couple of days and we were able to add service at the Bronx this morning. So, huge, huge credit to them, but no plans to reduce service at this point any further.
